Do you have an aging pet, like I do, and have you started thinking about what may lie ahead as the seasons of life extend into the final season? I know I have. I own an aging Chihuahua named “Muffin.” She has been a wonderful friend to me, and I want to honor her when she has departed this world. I have already built a pet memorial that will be placed on the Fletcher Family Memorial site to honor all pets that have given so much to enriching my life since childhood.
The loss of a pet to a young child can be quite traumatic. By teaching their children about life, respect, and honoring others during life and after death, parents in turn teach lifelong values about how animals in general and pets in particular should be treated.
The Pet Memorial Cross is a loving reminder of a lost pet. The Pet Memorial Cross is a smaller version with the same high quality as the larger solar powered angel and solar powered cross that we sell.
The Pet Memorial Cross honors your pet in a front or back yard memorial. The rechargeable batteries are included. The solar-lighted cross is relatively maintenance free, though the rechargeable batteries will age and require replacement from time to time. The Pet Memorial Light will shine for hours each night, depending on the amount of sunlight and the time of year. The light comes with a one-year warranty. The pet memorial cross is 9 3/4" x 7 1/4". Full size crosses are 14” tall and 10” wide. Obviously, the Pet Memorial Cross may be used for our human friends as well as our furry friends.
Flowers die quickly after a funeral, and it takes time to design a high-quality memorial—a task that is often not the top priority as a family deals with grief over the loss of a pet. Normally, it takes us from two to four weeks at minimum to produce our smallest memorials, and longer for larger memorials.
With the Pet Memorial Cross, a warm glowing light will illuminate the grave each night and give the grieving family comfort in knowing that their pet is not forgotten. You loved your pet, so honor your best friend; after all, it is the right thing to do!
