There is a wide variety of double monuments, so I thought it appropriate to discuss this topic.
My monument selection today involves a double monument with a screen. McNeel’s “The Greatest Name in Stonecraft” presents a watercolor of the Mansfield Memorial on page 36.
The Mansfield has a die (tablet), 2 wings, and 2 bases. The dimensions are below:

Length x Width x Height
Option A
3-4 x 0-10 x 2-6 Die (Tablet)
2-0 x 0-6 x 1-8 2 Wings
3-0 x 1-2 x 0-6 2 Bases
Option B
4-0 x 1-0 x 3-0 Die (Tablet)
2-4 x 0-8 x 2-0 2 Wings

Stylistically, the monument has a flat top and straight sides. The top corners have been chamfered. A chamber is a beveled, or tapered, edge made by cutting away the square edge on a monument or marker. This is a simple design that would look great in Georgia Gray granite with a steeled finish.
The total length for the tablet and wings for Option A is 7 feet 4 inches, and 8 feet 8 inches for Option B.
McNeel references the symbolism by stating that the rose represents love, Our Lord, and the Nativity.
This is a beautiful memorial with smooth lines that gives it an understated simplicity.
