Computer and hand-made etchings are a wonderful process that we use, as
monument and memorial designers, to tell our clients life story. Technically,
etchings are either created by hand or through a computer process of scratching stone to
create a portrait that may range from a photo of your pet, to a wildlife scene, to an
accurate - or even an enhanced - portrait of yourself.
Burton Fletchers Etched Photo!
Some folks wonder what I look like, so we etched a photo of me taken 15 years ago, and it
is attached to this article. (The actual etching looks better than shown.) I thought about
adding more hair, removing some of the lines, and touching up the photo to make me look
handsome. My mother would say, To make you look more handsome!
Then, I thought, Hey, Burton, that photo was taken fifteen years ago. That should be
enough of a misleading representation for anyone. At that point, humility won out!

Options: Merging, Dissembling, Improving - Without Damaging the Original Photo
We can now manufacturer etchings locally for our clients, so the turnaround is even faster
than before. To produce an etching, we prefer a high-quality picture that we will return
and the results will look fabulous. We can merge or combine people in photos, or we can
separate folks in case of a divorce. Or we can do just about anything else with your photo
that you would like for us to do. We will also return the original photos undamaged.
And, like myself, feel free to use a photo from years ago. Decades from now, no one will
be the wiser. (Smile)
