This section
contains photographs of monuments in area cemeteries. I took
these photos during my personal visits to these sites. Some of
the photos here show monuments of my family members, as I
enjoy studying genealogy. Most, though, I simply include
because they’re interesting. I hope you think so too. They may
help you with ideas for your own memorial.
Although I include many examples here of pleasing monuments,
I’m sorry to report that a great proportion are underwhelming,
in my opinion. Oftentimes people do not get the monument they
deserve because the grieving process clouds judgment,
financial considerations limit options, or a monument dealer
does not properly educate the consumer.
In my own way, I’m attempting to raise standards within my
profession by informing the public of the full range of
available options. Don’t buy from a dealer who offers you a
narrow selection with the refrain, "Which one do you like?" We
offer our clients literally thousands of choices, and then we
assist them in designing a memorial that best represents a
life lived. In fact, that’s our philosophy: Our memorials
convey life, not death.
With our efforts, which are unique in the industry, our
clients will get a memorial fit for the ages.
